Burton Southern community residences provides a safe, stable community for mentally ill adults who cannot live independently. Our supportive, friendly, and home-like atmosphere enables persons recovering from mental illness to meet the physical and mental challenges associated with their psychiatric conditions.

Burton Southern encourages the development of independent living skills through work and community, which in turn promotes self-esteem and a sense of well-being. Everyone who comes here participates in our Community Living Activities and Daily Work Program according to his or her ability and tolerance.

Our community residencies are located in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We are situated in quiet neighborhoods and near populated areas with a host of recreational and cultural activities that we frequent. We are a locally founded agency with grass root ties within the Greater Hampton Roads community.
